Dean Kimpton

Dean has some 35 years' senior executive experience across private and public sector organisations, including CEO (Auckland Transport), COO (Auckland Council), and Managing Director (AECOM NZ).

Dean Kimpton is an independent director and infrastructure consultant to the private and public sectors. He currently serves on a number of boards and providing strategic advice to infrastructure owners, operators and developers. Dean has some 35 years' senior executive experience across private and public sector organisations, including CEO (Auckland Transport), COO (Auckland Council), and Managing Director (AECOM NZ). He is Managing Partner for a specialist infrastructure advisory consultancy, Tūhura Partners, and a professional director serving on boards across community organisations, technology startups, engineering, iwi commercial enterprises, property, research and infrastructure delivery organisations. Dean is a Distinguished Fellow of Engineering NZ and holds a Master of Engineering (Honours). He lives in Auckland with his family.
